Have questions? We have answers!

What if I don’t see any mold, but I can smell it in my house?

If no visible mold is present and you don’t want to do an invasive inspection, Extremely Clean can perform an air sampling of the areas in question and compare the results to an outside air sample to see if there are any different or elevated mold spores present inside your dwelling. This will give us a good idea if there is a mold problem and remediation is necessary.

Who should I call first if something sudden happens like a water heater rupture or a leaking dishwasher – Extremely Clean emergency clean-up services or my insurance company?

Always address the source of the leak first. For example, if you have a broken pipe and can’t shut off the water, call a plumber first. Once the water leak is under control, call Extremely Clean immediately to begin the dry out process. Then, while we are on site or just prior to our arrival would be the time to submit a claim with your insurance company.

Wind from the last storm pushed rain in under my front door and now my carpet is wet. Is that something I can clean up on my own?

Many home and business owners attempt this kind of clean-up on their own, only to end up calling a mitigation company like Extremely Clean a few days later once the mold and mildew odors start to permeate the air. It’s our recommendation that you call a professional from the start. Properly removing the water and drying the structure out quickly eliminates the chance of bigger, more expensive problems later.

Is it safe for us to stay in our home while your crew is working to clean up our water damage?

Most of the time, it is safe to remain in your home while we are working and running drying equipment. Extremely Clean will contain and isolate the damaged areas, and use green products that are safe for children and pets to be around. If we suspect that your home or office is a hazardous environment, we will let you know right away so that you are able to make any necessary housing arrangements.

How long does a typical flood clean-up take?

While no two water damage claims are ever the same, the Extremely Clean goal is to have your home or business ready for reconstruction approximately 72 hours from our arrival time.

Do you guarantee your work?

YES! All the mitigation work completed by Extremely Clean comes with a 3 year guarantee.

Do we need to pay you right away?

No. If you have filed an insurance claim and it is approved, Extremely Clean will wait up to 60 days to collect payment. Some insurance carriers will even pay us directly!

What happens if our insurance company does not cover our claim?

If your claim is denied, Extremely Clean will work with you to determine the best way to move forward with your mitigation. We will do only what you want done, and will work out a payment plan that works for both parties.
